If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you - James 1:5
Have you ever had a time in your life when you needed answers for a problem you were facing, but it seemed that you just couldn't come up with the right solution?
Most times we try and look for solutions for ourselves. But, there is a better way. There is a God-way of doing things and it is called the wisdom of God.
Sadly, some of us don't want the wisdom of God, we want the miracles of God.
Thank God for His miracles. But miracles are only needed when our life is out of sync.
For example, a married couple that have been trying for a baby for a long time, needs a miracle. Wisdom can help them prepare for the baby, but it's God's miracles that will help the woman conceive. And God is able!
But in our day to day lives, we need wisdom.
Why is Wisdom important? Wisdom is important because it will harmonise your life. It will establish the priorities of your life and bring you back into a right relationship with yourself and with everyone around you.
Some women are married but they don't know the basic common sense on how to handle married life. And that's where wisdom comes in.
A married woman who is having marital problems and her partner doesn't not need miracles as much as she needs wisdom. Why? Because marriage is not build on miracles but on wisdom. A WISE woman builds her house.
When God’s wisdom is present, there is no problem that cannot be solved. Wisdom is able to guide and instruct in areas which are beyond our understanding and capacity.
Even at your workplace, you don’t have to promote yourself by following the system of the world. You don’t have to slog and work overtime all the time. You don’t have to compromise your ethics and values to rise up the ladder of success.
By His Grace God has prescribed for us a divine standards, but many times by choice we reject them.
God’s wisdom comes directly from God and is revealed in His Word. It centers in the knowledge of Christ, “in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Col. 2:3; see also, Col. 1:9; Eph. 1:16-17).
PRAYER for wisdom daily: Father I ask you for wisdom and knowledge. Give me a hearing heart in Jesus name.
