Jesus lived a simple life

One of the biggest challenges we face in our frazzled (physically & mentally exhausting) and hurried, fast paced society is living a simple life. We long for the simple things of life without all the demanding interruptions. We have so much information and “things to do” coming at us we forget how to turn it off. Our lives get flooded with appointments and commitments and meetings that we find our lives in a mess due to stress.

Often we make plans to visit this area of life and before we even get there other complexities of life meet us in the hallways we venture down on a daily basis.

It doesn’t matter what you do or did for a  living the first principle of living the simple live is crucial.  PUT GOD FIRST!!!

Jesus lived a simple life. He understood this principle of putting the first thing first.  He often practiced this by getting alone with God.  He would get alone and pray, and listen and talk with God.

Most people live so far from this type of life now in our busy society, but I believe God wants us to strive for more simplicity in life.

Does living a simple Christian life have anything to do with being poor or rich?

No. It's not. A Simple Christian life has nothing to do with wealth or poverty. Poverty is not the mark for a simple life or godliness. Likewise, wealth is not a recipe for confusion or a complicated life.

Author Michael Sullivan says, "Most of the time, the pausing is enough—just enough to open space for God. It opens us to grace, hope, and beauty. When we take the time to pause, reflect on God’s love and presence in our lives, and remember whose we are, we tend to hear the beauty of the babbling brook within us.

Simple Christian living in essence is adding nothing to Christ creative abilities. It’s all about deeply immersing our thoughts in things above. Adoring, thanking God and developing in us a spirit filled heart and mind.

People fail to recognize the presence of God in difficult life decisions and situations. Have trust in God’s abilities to heal and work wonders in your life. He answers your prayers for contentment.
