What lie have you believed?

Thursday, September 25, 2014

Many women are carrying lies that keep them from enjoying life and being all God would have them to be.  Usually the lies are so familiar that the women carrying them don’t even pay much attention to them.

And the lies become amplified when they have wrong teachings to support them.

So what lie have you believed?

You are only pleasing to God if you perform correctly...?

The way you dress is more godly, more pure, and that you are better than other girls who dress like the world...?

You are ashamed of your beauty, afraid of the way God made you and afraid of embracing who you are ...?

You hold to a belief that you need another human to complete your life's calling and your design; and that you can only reflect that image through men...?

Are these some of the lies you have believed and embraced?

If yes, then you must see them for what they are and apply the correct truth.

The only remedy to a lie is the truth. Truth that is fully reliable comes from God.  One of the greatest joys of that you can discover is that God’s truth is more powerful than the bondage of the Enemy’s lies.

With great deceptions comes healing and learning. Redemption is happening all around us, all the time. God is giving back the years that the locusts have eaten.

But healing is a choice. One must first recognise the lie in order to apply the correct balm. Ignoring it or telling yourself to "just get over it" won't work.

Think about it. Pray about it and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal it to you so that you can be able to move forward.

Dear woman of God, it's time to STOP listening to the lies that tell you that you don't measure up, that you are not good enough.

Believe me when I say: you are loved and you are blessed. Wherever you are, in whatever season you're in, God has His Hand of Grace on you.

This is the truth and don't you ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

Listen to the words of the One who made you:

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine...Since you have been precious in My sight, you have been honoured, and I have loved you."

"Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed and in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me when as yet there were none of them. How precious are your thoughts toward me, Oh God! How great is the sum of them!"

And I pray that you get a glimpse of God's grace and His love for you. May our Lord protect you heart and bring you to the knowledge and enjoyment of His grace and mercy.

Jesus said, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32). There is power in the name of Jesus...to break every chain.
