I love being a woman

As we mark Women's Month this August, we decided to talk to a few women about what is it they love about being women. Here are their sharing. Women get to do some things that men will NEVER be able to do.

Being a female is simply, unequivocally awesome.

You call her nothing. I call her Strong, Smart, Sensual, Caring, Giving, Surviving, Tolerant and powerful, I call her WOMAN - Ashanti

Why I love being a woman

I love the ability that God given a woman.  I grew up seeing our grandmothers and mothers’ courage, the kind of courage that believes that everything will work out and the kind of courage to believe that what we have in our hands will see us through and the courage to share what we have with others.

1545851_10152115318462649_287938809_nI love how being too sensitive keeps me on my toes and helps me to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and His promptings. The sixth sense ability in me makes me conscious of God who is continuously speaking to me.

I love the fact that everybody knows that women are emotional beings and that allows me to be myself.  I have no need to try and suppress the emotions; I cry when I am sad and I cry when I am filled with joy and I am not asked questions about that.

And when I think of God's goodness and Grace that I have seen in my life, I cry.

I love how we as women have the desire to always look beautiful, to just glow and reflect the Glory of God in our lives. Every one of us has that beauty and we understand that beauty is from God.

I am intrigued by the longing that every woman has to be loved and the need to feel loved, the longing that only God the Father can feel through His unconditional love.

Growing up wearing glasses in Primary School and struggling with allergies has a way of making one become a very awkward and self- conscious young person.

unnamedI grew being around people but I was always trying to draw attention away from myself as much as possible.

After discovering and understanding Romans 8:28 when it says; “For we know that ALL THINGS work together for good, for those that love the Lord and are called according to HIS purpose”), my life changed.

I have survived retrenchment, four car accidents and depression, and this scripture has helped me through it all of that.

Today, I embrace who the Lord has called me to be and I accept that ALL things are working together for my good.

God has given women strength and even when He stretches us through some of the most difficult situations we still come out it.

I love the womb of prayer that the Lord has given me. I love being a woman, especially the woman of God that I have turned out to be.

As I grow older I understand the significance of being a woman and not just any woman but a woman after God’s own heart.  The Bible says, “Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies” (Proverbs 31:10).  The most amazing part is growing up to like the reasons why God created a woman.

TsholofeloThe best a woman can be is being the virtuous woman the Bible talks about.

I love understand the being spiritually strong, having a healthy body and allowing all of that beauty to reflect on the outside to the Glory of God.

As a woman I understand that my beauty is to reflect a heart that is submissive to the Master and a heart that is full of love for God and His people.

I love living a life that is pleasing to God, I love being led by His Spirit and feeling secure in Christ’s love. I appreciate my role fully as I “walk in the Spirit and not in the manner of the old nature”.
