Passion for the Gospel

1 Corinthians 9:16:  For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

This is one of those scriptures in the bible that never ceases to inspire me to do more for the gospel. The bible says that we are ambassadors for Christ (2 Corintians 5:20) and Jesus commissioned us in Matthew 16:15 to go into the entire world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

The people in this world are lost and Jesus has given us the responsibility to win them back. It is our responsibility as Christians to tell the whole world about Jesus. We cannot keep quiet.

Many years ago I believed that women should not preach the gospel. I believed it was the responsibility of the (male) pastors to tell others about Jesus. But the Word of God has taught me something different. It is the responsibility of each and every Christian to reach the world for Jesus.

It is not hard to tell someone about Jesus. We sisters can easily start a conversation on any topic; why not make that topic Jesus?

Before I made Jesus Lord of my life, I had a difficult time because of some bad things that happened to me. Most of my issues were internal and very few people knew how unhappy I really was. Jesus changed my life completely. This is the reason why when I see a woman who does not know Jesus, I often see myself in them. This inspires me to share the Gospel with them.

Remember Jesus said that we are the light of the world. Light up your world with the gospel and tell someone about Jesus today. Tell them how much He loves them and how He longs to help them. It is our responsibility to make Him known.

Confession of Faith
Dear Father, I thank You for entrusting me with the responsibility to take your Gospel to the world. I reach out to the unsaved today, making known to them the love of Christ. Thank You for giving me the ability, boldness and utterance required to preach Your Word, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Leandre de BruynMy name is Leandre de Bruyn. Currently, I am living in the city of Cape Town. I matriculated in the year 2010, after which I continued my studies for two years at two different universities.

I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior at the age of 17, but without fully understanding what that really meant. I received revelation of my Salvation when I joined a Church in the year 2011.

Since then I have been able to live a beautiful life because I now truly understand what it means to be a child of the living God.
