Accept God's Timing

In life, we’re always waiting for something; waiting for a dream to come to pass, waiting to meet the right person, waiting for a problem to be solved.

When that which we have been waiting for does not happen as fast as we would like, it’s easy to get frustrated. But you have to realise that the moment you prayed, God established a set time to bring the promise to pass.

[adsenseyu2]God has a set time for you to meet the right person, a set time for the problem to turn around, a set time for your healing, promotion, breakthrough, etc.

What you are trusting God for could be happening tomorrow, or next week, or 5 years from now.

Some of you have been praying about a situation for a long time, and you don’t see anything happening, and you could easily be discouraged. But what if God were to pull back the curtain and allow you to see into the future, and you knew that on 2 August 2013 at 2:33pm you were going to meet the person of your dreams?  Would you still be discouraged? Of course NOT.  Instead you’d be excited and getting yourself ready. Why?  Because you know the big day is coming.

Sometimes we think everybody is getting ahead of us: our friends are all getting married and we are still single, our co-workers are being promoted but we are still stuck here.

When things are not happening as quickly as you would like don’t manipulate your situation, don’t force things to happen and don't worm your way into a "friendship". When you birth things in your own strength, out of God’s timing, God is not obligated to help you.

Be patient and trust God to do it His way. God does not need your help. He has it all figured out.

Your set time is coming, it is not going to be one second late.  God knows how to make up for what seems like lost time.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry ~ Habakkuk 2:3 (KJV)

Notice the verse does not say “maybe” it will come or hope to come.  No, God has already set the date; the appointed time has already been put on your calendar.

So quit worrying about who’s getting ahead of you and run your race. Be the best that you can be and keep honouring God with your life. Our God is not a random God, He’s a precise God. He has lined up solutions for you down to the very second.  You can trust God’s timing, He has it all figured out. Trust Him that what you’re praying about, believing for, it’s not going to be one second late.
For we which have believed do enter into rest ~ Hebrew 4:3 (KJV)

When you understand this, it will take all the pressure off you. Ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate this verse to you.

Here’s a great prayer we should pray every day:

“God, give me the grace to accept your timing.  I don’t know when you’re going to do it, but Father God I trust you enough to believe that You will do it and that the answer is already in my future, in Jesus Name, Amen!"
