Hold on to God, your vision is coming to pass

When you first realise God’s purpose for your life, you feel empowered, fired up to action – even in the face of danger.

But as times goes by and you don’t see results, you start feeling depressed and discouraged. You start questioning God and wonder if you even heard from him.

According to the book of Habakkuk 2:2, the vision is for the appointed time – meaning that the vision is for the future hence the Bible says wait for it. There is a gap between when God speaks the vision to you and when God is doing it in your life.

And in that time of waiting, your faith and endurance are tested.  Everything that is of quality has a price to it.  Even gold has to be tested in the fire for it to be of quality.

I can assure you that this testing is all part of your preparation. God is doing it to strengthen you, to teach you to learn to trust Him. Remember the most important thing here is your relationship with God.  God wants you to be like Christ where your will is in harmony with His will.  It’s really for your own God that you live in peace with God.  Living in peace with God is health to you mind, body and soul. So, everything that is happening in your life is part of your preparation for the vision that God has for you.

Look at Moses, he spend 40 years of his life taking care of his father in-law’s sheep. God was preparing him to take care of the children of Israel. But more than anything, God was preparing Him to trust Him. God knew that Moses will have to deal with some difficult sheep at times and he did.  The Israelites were like little spoilt brats and they were running around with their own ideas. Moses had to lean on God. But unfortunately at the end Moses allowed his anger to get in the way of God’s vision and God told him that he won’t be entering the Promised Land.  Can you imagine that?

But thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph in His name. We overcome in Jesus name. We can stay the course. We can see God move in our lives. We don’t have to be like Moses. Christ is our Hope of Glory. And we can go from Glory to Glory by His power and Grace. Hallelujah to the Living God! Glory be to His name!

I know that God didn’t bring you this far to leave you. He promised to never leave you nor forsake you. It’s a promise that you can hold on to as you strive to fulfil the purpose that has been given to you.

So many of us have abandoned our dreams and visions and they are now a distant memory. Believe me when I say, it is not too late to rekindle that dream, to stir yourself up again. Don’t let go of what God has placed in your heart.  Don’t sell out. Refuse to be side-tracked. Stay focused.  Those dreams and visions are your legacy, your children’s inheritance.

Let me remind you that a God given vision is always bigger than you – meaning you can’t accomplish without God. It is always beyond your natural ability. You cannot do it in your own wisdom or strength, and you can’t see it come to pass without God.  Your power is limited.

I encourage you to stay in the Word and spend time in prayer.  Talk to God, not just in the morning but throughout your day. Lean on the Holy Spirit, talk to Him. Ask Him to show you what you need to overcome. Confess the Word. Encourage yourself in the Lord. Sometimes you are going to have to do it with tears streaming down your eyes. That’s alright. God didn’t promise a smooth road but He did promise to keep you and fulfil His purpose in your life.

God is not a man to lie. He is faithful and He can be trusted. He is not withholding ANY good thing from you.  Hold on to God, your vision is coming to pass.
