iThemba Crusade of Hope Walkathon 2013

Help spread the iThemba message that 'Early detection saves lives' by showing your support in the Crusade Against Breast Cancer taking place on the 27 October 27.

By supporting the even you help Avon Justine iThemba Walkathon raise awareness of breast cancer amongst awareness of the issue of breast cancer which affect women of all races and ages.

Breast cancer affects women of all races and is becoming more and more prevalent in younger women. Although it is difficult to keep track of cases, research suggests that 1 in 29 South Africans will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

Event Information

Date: Sunday 27 October 2013

Venue: Marks Park Sports Complex, Judith Road, Emmarentia, Johannesburg

Entry Fee: R85 per adult, R60 per child under 12 children under 2 walk for free

Start time and distance options: 9:00 for 5km & 8 km
It will be a staggered start – all walkers start at the same time.

Walker numbers and goodie bags need to be collected at Marks Park Sports Complex from:

Wednesday 23 Oct 2013 - 12h00-18h00
Thursday 24 Oct 2013 - 10h00-18h00
Friday 25 Oct 2013 - 10h00-18h00
Saturday 26 Oct 2013 - 09h00-16h00
All walkers must be pre-registered.

Late entry

If you miss pre-registration you are still welcome to go to Marks Park to do a late registration on the above dates, so you can still participate in all the fun. Late registration will be at a cost of R110 per adult and R75 per child. Goodie bags are given to the first 18 000 entrants, so late registrations aren’t guaranteed to receive goodie bags.
