The problem is that many of us don't understand how we were created and what we were created for. (Wo) Man is the supreme masterpiece of the Creator; His workmanship.
Every day we look for someone to accept us, to appreciate us, to tell us how wonderful we are.
Stop seeking people's approval. Stop worrying about how you look, what others think, and whether or not you're going to succeed in life. Stop struggling about it and stop trying to set your own value based on what others have said about you.
Stop devaluing and dishonouring yourself.
Give God all those issues and allow him to tell you what your worth is.
Your value does not come from:
- Your mother.
- Your Father.
- Your former school teacher
- Your friends
- Your colleagues
- Your bank account
- Your children
- Your relatives
- Your status (married or single)
- Your Facebook friends
- Or some random stranger commenting about your weight, height or beauty or lack thereof.
NO. Your worth comes from God. He alone is Your Creator.
From the very first chapter of the Bible, we are taught that women, like men, bear the stamp of God's own image (Genesis 1:27; 5:1-2)--men and women were created equal.
As a Christian woman you are already valuable and precious before God. You do not need to give yourself away to be valuable and lovely. You don’t have to subscribe to a culture and tradition that doesn’t value you. You don’t have to be with people or surrounds yourself with things that have not value to your life.
Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour has already paid the price for your life. And not just one bit of it but ALL of it. His blood has and continues to wash you. His blood also speaks better promises on your behalf.
You matter to Jesus.
Your spiritual, mental and emotional well-being matters.
You are the object of God’s LOVE. You are created in God’s IMAGE. You are the APPLE of His eye. You were planned and you were designed on the drawing board of God’s love. He has engraved your NAME in His palm.
Nothing compares to you. You are His most wonderful creation. That’s why God is full of attention for you. Even the Angels look down and ask “What is a (wo) man that you are mindful of Lord?”. Psalm 8:4
A prayer for you:
Philippians 1:9-11: Good News Translation (GNT)
I pray that your love will keep on growing more and more, together with true knowledge and perfect judgment, 10 so that you will be able to choose what is best. Then you will be free from all impurity and blame on the Day of Christ. Your lives will be filled with the truly good qualities which only Jesus Christ can produce, for the glory and praise of God.
