Life is simple, stop complicating it

Friday, June 14, 2013

After working day after day, it’s only normal that we start losing our focus about the things that really matter. With so many demands on our time these days it’s easy to feel like we are losing control.Cofucius once said," Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated". Of course a simple life has a different meaning and a different value for different people.

It is easier to shed the material goods and worldly activities of our lives than it is to shed the internal things of our lives e.g. our desires, and all the inner snares that prevent us from knowing and serving Christ.

But it's only as we learn to die to self, that do we become like Christ.  Before we can make more time for the things that really matter in life, we first need to identify what those things are. We need some clarity.

When your life is in harmony God's values, and your activities contribute to achieving that then  life becomes more unified and harmonious for you.

As you go about your day, remember these truths:

  • God always knows what He's doing with you life.

  • Love God and Love yourself. If you don't God you can't love your neighbour. And you can't say you love God if you don't love your neighbour.

  • Have faith in God.

  • Be positive even in difficult situations. I. t's just better for your heart

  • Be thankful. It helps you to refocus.

  • Do not be afraid to make mistakes. Making a mistake does not lessen your value. Mistakes are opportunities for growth.

  • Do unto others that you would like them to do unto you.

  • Stop worrying. Ninety percent of what you worry about never comes true.

  • Do your best always.

  • Check everything with the Holy Spirit. Even if it seems small.

  • Speak the truth. It's a mission to cover the lies.

  • Don't be so hard on yourself.  Live a little bit but remain responsible and focused on the prize.

  • If you are not satisfied with what you are getting. Then check what you are giving out.

  • Always listen to the Holy Spirit. His peace is your guide always.

  • Give your time. Giver your money. Give your resources. By giving, you enrich your life in ways that money can't buy.

  • Invest in someone. The only gift to God really is people and that's what we are taking to to Heaven.

  • You cannot control everything that happens to you, but you can choose your way of handling it.

  • Never deprive anyone of hope. It may be all they have.

  • Don’t take your health for granted. Do your best to eat healthy.

  • Live life with passion and allow others to do do the same.

  • Be Graceful in your dealings with people.

  • Stay focused on God's perfect will for your life.

  • Read your Bible.
