Lulu and Zonke lose their beloved sister

In our interview with Lulu Dikana (link) in April, I asked her about the strong bond she has with her sisters, Zonke and Busi.  And Lulu answered by saying, " I’m not sure but, I think that our parents forbidding us to go play outside our yard when were young forced us to bond and be best friends. If you saw me with my sisters you’d think I’m hanging out with my friends! We’re always laughing and we always have interesting things to share when we get together. One thing God blessed us with is the ability to find humour in everything."

But yesterday, Zonke twitted this:

Wow hey, this was those goose bumps moments. It's as if I knew Busi because I've seen her on a documentary with both Lulu and Zonke; and saw how close they were as sisters.  We were also scheduled to interview Lulu's younger sister, Zonke for Inside Woman Online.

The PR company that is representing Zonke also send us media release regarding Zonke's loss and cancellation of  Give and Take Live DVD concert recording. Here is the media release below:

It is announced that due to the tragic loss of her sister Busisiwe (Busi) ikana on the evening of Saturday 18 May, all future shows have had to be ancelled until further notice.

This will unfortunately include the GIVE AND TAKE LIVE DVD Concert set to take place on 2 June at the Lyric Theatre in Johannesburg that has now been rescheduled for Friday 5 July at 20h00. Ticket holders are to know that their tickets will now be valid for the new date.

Zonke and her family are devastated at this sudden loss, but she wishes to extend her greatest apologies to the media and fans out there and thanks them for the continuous support.

To Lulu, Zonke, Lulu and family we say as you comprehend this profound loss, let yourself cry knowing each tear is a note of love rising to the heavens...
