It's time to dream again! Have you been carrying a Holy Spirit inspired dream, a dream of doing something so great for Jesus? A dream of leading thousands to the Lord? A dream of being so prosperous that you can build homes and feed the poor? A dream of seeing our young people saved and delivered?
We’ll if you are born again, spirit filled; chances are that you have that dream. But perhaps you backed away from it. Maybe you’ve allowed satan to keep you defeated for so long that you now have a poor self-image of yourself. And you don’t even believe that God can still use you to fulfil that dream.
If you‘ll believe God, even a poor self-image won’t keep you from success. Remember Moses who led the children of Israel out of Egypt? We’ll he didn’t have a very good self-image of himself either. Moses made a terrible mistake early in His career. It was a mistake that drove him into the wilderness and kept him there for 40 years, taking care of someone else’s sheep.
Moses dreamed of being a deliverer of His people but that mistake pulled him down. It crashed him to the ground. As far as he was concerned, he was finished... he was a failure.
But God in His mercy and Grace didn’t think so of Moses. In fact, when God came to Moses in the wilderness He didn’t ask Moses for His Curriculum Vitae. He didn’t even mention Moses’ messed up past. He just told Him what he wanted him to do.
So you see, it didn’t matter who Moses was. And it’s the same for you. I t doesn’t matter who you are or where you’ve been. What matters is God and His plans for your life. You don’t need a history of successes to answer God’s call once again in your life. You don’t need a string of spiritual victories as standpoint before God. All you need is God’s presence.
When the enemy comes in like a flood God promised to raise a standard. When the devil tries to drag you down to his level, put him in his place and take your place in God. Tell him, it doesn’t matter who you are because God is still in control. And He can do what you can’t.
God is saying to you it's time to dream again. Forget the past, forget yourself. Look unto Jesus the author and finisher of your faith.
Steps to take to follow your dream:
- Write the vision down.
- Don’t stop praying. Position yourself in prayer.
- Ask for wisdom and the courage to follow through with dream. If God says wait, then wait on Him. But don’t just wait if you were not told that.
- Listen to the Holy Spirit. Do what God is leading you to do.
- Don’t stop thinking about what you love.
- Be faithful where God places you. Moses was faithful sheep herder.
- Stop analysing and planning too much. Put things into action and do what you can but let God work out the details.
“Now all glory to God, who is able (by the action of His mighty power that is at work within me), to carry out His purpose and accomplish infinitely more than I might ask or think. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly, far over and above all that I dare ask or think – beyond my highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams. My God is able to do anything – far more than I could ever imagine or guess or request, even in my wildest dreams!” (Paraphrased from Ephesians 3:20-21)
