The Courage to Dream Again by Ray McCauley

Sometimes the vision that God has placed before you may become a distant dream. People, circumstances, storms, situations in life come along to try to get you to draw back, to feel insecure instead of being positive about your future. You may have had a bad experience and allowed fear to grip your life, so you have drawn back from some of the vision, the purposes, plans and destiny that God has for your life.

Sometimes you get to and age where you think that which God has placed before you will not happen. Look at Isaiah 40:28, 29 - Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. If you are reading this and you are weak, have been defeated and have entered a storm; or if perhaps something did not turn out the way you thought and you’re weary; remember that to those who have no might He increases strength. Verse 30 and 31 read: Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall utterly fall. But those who wait for the Lord renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

The courage to dream again

God rejoices when we dare to dream. He doesn’t like people who put dreamers in a cage and pocket the key. Don’t let people create your world for you. Don’t put limits on your life, because God lifts limitations. God wants you to fly free of your past, your past failures and your past guilt. Maybe you have missed God from time to time. Maybe you have had a vision and a dream and it hasnt’ come to pass yet and you thought perhaps God has forgotten about you. But I want to encourage you, and show you that God is a God of vision and dreams; and God’s dreams for you are bigger than those you could ever dream for yourself.

The courage to dream again is adapted from a chapter in pastor Ray McCauley’s book The Sercret Place which is available at  or

Life knocks down but have the courage to dream again. With God all things are possible.
