Why I love the Christmas season

There are so many things to love about the Christmas season. It's a time of sharing and giving and most people are usually in the mood for that. There's a bit of a renewal happening here with people's lives. Here's my ten reasons why I love the Christmas season (let's pray that the Christian holidays won't be changed):

1. The feeling that is evoked in people. People tend to be very nice during this season.

2. The joy of listening some Christmas carols. Not all of the Christmas Carols are a reflection of the risen Christ. At my Church we sing different songs that pertain to who He is currently not some baby in a manger  songs. He's KING of kings not a baby! And we thank God for that!

3. The spirit of sharing and the genuinely warm hugs.

4. The fact that you can eat as much as you want and nobody will comment.

5. The incredibly creative messages that I receive on the 25 December.

6. The relaxed vibe that is around. Everybody is willing to slow down even traffic (maybe not in Durban, LOL) is not bad at all.

7. Seeing people that you haven't seen in a long time being in a happy mood and saying ALL the right things.

8. I love the decorations lights and the christmas trees that people have in their homes.

9. Staying out late. I love that because I'm not an early sleeper anyways and having a good company is great.

10. I love, love, love the Church service. It's a great reminder of what MY Awesome God has done for me! People need this message ALL the time.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas, Let your heart be light, From now on our troubles will be out of sight
