God loves you

Have you ever been at place where you feel that everyone is blessed but you? Have you harassed God for things like cars, jobs, a house or husband in prayer because you felt stuck in a rut? Have you been tempted to believe, that it was of no use to seek for them or maybe God doesn’t love you like He loves your friend?

Unfortunately as Christians we live in a culture obsessed with success. We are made to believe that if we have a car, a house, a husband, children and a well paying job then that means we are truly saved. So many a times we see our fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord being blessed and we begin to want those things too. And because we live in a microwave society, we want what we want and we want it now! We believe that everyone is married, has children, and has a nice car or nice home or job accept for us. Paul warned us about comparing ourselves to other people. Comparison is a destructive habit that creates negative feelings within (2 Corinthians 10:12). Paul also continued to tell us to be “imitators of Christ” (Ephesians 5:1).

The hardest part of living by faith is waiting on God to deliver on His promises. When we seek things from God and He doesn’t respond to us the way we think He should, we think we need to take matters in our own hands. We believe that God is either slow or has forgotten all about us. This is where people compromise their integrity by cutting corners to achieve God given goals. Short cuts bring instant gratification but they don’t give you heavenly results. Yes God has promised to bless us and He also promised us the desires of our hearts but God never said when He was going to give us those blessings. None of us know the appointed time (Habakkuk 2: 3). And so to harass God in prayer and to want to force Him to do our will is not going to give us the answers. In fact it produces a wrong belief (negativity) in us that ultimately affects our daily walk with Him.

Beloved, God is already willing to add to you “If you are willing and obedient… (Isaiah 1:19). If God has given you a dream, let God make it happen for you. As Ray McCauley once said, “God will give you a dream that is so big that you will need God to achieve it.” Remember 1 Corinthians 10:13 when it says, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted, above that ye are able: but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” God knew that we will be living at a time where we will need jobs, husbands, cars, etc. So if He’s hasn’t provided any of those things just rest in Him (Hebrews 4:12) and while resting “… seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33). Trust Him; He knows what He’s doing with your life and He’s always on time! And always remember that God loves you.

Father you are not a man to lie and that which you have promised me shall come to pass. I ask that not my will Lord, but Your perfect will be done in my life, nothing missing, nothing broken. I thank that in Jesus name it is done! (Romans 8:32).
